Random “cold front” at the end of April?! I’ll take it.
The forecast doesn’t look like it’ll stay for long but I’m hoping it keeps pushing through.
Great weather yesterday and today, these pics prove it.
Running downtown at Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake) is pretty nice. Exhilarating view and people know that so the energy around the area when the weather is great is contagious. I’m glad I got off my lazy ass and got down there. Definitely miss living downtown. Living closer to work has its perks but being so far away from the city, you forget how great it is there. Tonight will make a great night for the #TNSR.
Houston Critical Mass tomorrow! See ya there!
I leave you with Kenna – Chains
Never seen so many cameo drops for one video. The Beastie Boys!
Also, I’m intrigued by the vintage-like painting of forestry and acoustic harmonies. Bob Ross would be proud. Been a long time coming. Bon Iver LP in June. That house in the “Woods.”
So after I stripped the threading on my crank for one of my pedals, it looks like it’s time to upgrade my components. I’ve been wanting to do this for some time but I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck without skimping too much.
Got a cool idea for a photo project that I noticed among things I’ve been shooting lately with my camera when I’m on bike rides. I wonder what the best format to present them will be. I’m still figuring that out or just post em randomly. I can almost picture it was a flip book or a coffee table-r.
I just realized that I want to travel to different cities and countries and grab these pics.
Simply I just love that it’s pretty hard to find a duplicate bike among people. Bikes are a personality. Components are different. Colors are personal taste. Frames are styles.
It’s just cool to see bikes as a lifestyle and not just another “sport.” whether you are an urban cat, a weekend warrior, mud enthusiast or a nature junkie, you find yourself consumed by it.
It’s good to get some new ideas in the brain again. Leggo.
