You have to appreciate these lyrics.  They paint a picture of luxury.  They have it now and they are riding the wave that brought them there.  You can’t say they have the easy way out because they busted their butts getting to where they are now.

Sure, some people don’t like Kanye, some don’t like rap.  Some people don’t like country.  It’s a lifestyle.  Hip-hop is a lifestyle and some people relate to the feeling it gives them. I just love that this track tells a story of a life a LOT of people don’t know about.  Luxury.  Yes, you can buy fancy things but how big of a dent did it put in your pocket?  Some people can just have what they want and that’s the vibe I get in this track.  You control what is the latest trend but it’s not a trend to you.  It’s modern poetry that you can take to heart or take it with a grain of salt.  It is whatever interpretation you want it to be.  It also helps that they play homage to a classic soul artist that this generation might not know any about unless someone introduces it to them in this fashion.

They paint a picture of how guys used to fantisize what it would be like to be in the Rat Pack.  That era was just classy.  Hollywood was still glamourous on the exterior.  Here’s a toast to one day traveling around the globe…just because I want to do so.
